The Karate Kid Returns

“What is old becomes anew. Old news, is new news.”

What the heck am I getting at? Cobra Kai is a follow up series to the 80’s Karate Kid films. Set decades later, the tides are now turned on these once foes. Does Daniel LaRusso and Johnny square off again? Whose side are you on?

Originally premiering on YouTube Premium, Netflix has picked up the show with the first two seasons available for streaming tomorrow, August 28. This makes me happy.

Better Call Saul, Get’s Better

If you jumped shark on Better Call Saul before season 4, then I’d suggest jumping back in and pounding through them. The show has picked up incredible steam through season 4 and 5 and is becoming much more in line with its predecessor (successor?) Breaking Bad! If Breaking Bad is 13 on a scale of 10. Then Better Call Saul is progressing into to about 9 out of 10. Rumor has it that Walter White may be introduced into the show as its timeline catches up to Breaking Bad.

Love Death + Robots

Have you seen Love Death + Robots in your Netflix suggestions but just haven’t pulled the trigger (because it’s animated)? PULL THAT TRIGGER! You’re missing out on a wild ride of bite-sized episodes blending sci-fi, horror, fantasy, visceral, and dark-funny. Not for your children or the faint of heart.

Project Power – TCF Review

TCF Review: Appeased/Action Junkie/Just Cool (see definitions).

The timing of Project Power is perfect as the masses are starving for summer blockbusters. The film does not excel in any one area of filmmaking but it is well done. Especially, the visuals are seriously ‘fun-to-watch’. My biggest complaint is that the story felt unfulfilling and is missing the mark on the origin. Acting is on par with a typical Action Junkie movie. Maybe there will be a prequel? I’m in.
